The aoe on the aeolak performs well for the majority of content, and with primed firestorm is big enough imo. Phenmor is just better (Don't build it for crits) it melts absolutely everything in seconds. Aeolak is nice, but I wouldn't take it out on high level missions, still better than most rifles.
